Great basketball starts with great coaching and at the Park Orchards Steelers, we take that seriously. From our youngest Future Steelers through to our most competitive Under 19 teams, every player deserves a coach who is prepared, supported, and passionate about helping kids grow through the game.
Meet Our Director of Coaching — Joel Seach
Leading our coaching program is Joel Seach.
Joel's basketball journey started at five years old and took him all the way through junior basketball with the Ringwood Hawks and Spirit Magic, to playing at NBL1 level with Ringwood and Eltham, time with the Melbourne Tigers squad, stints playing overseas in China, and representing Australia as part of the Australian Schoolboys team.
These days, Joel's passion is coaching and the Steelers are lucky to have him. As Director of Coaching, Joel works across the entire club to support coaches at every level, share training ideas, and ensure every player builds the strong fundamentals they need to enjoy the game and keep developing for years to come.
Joel is also a passionate advocate for the Future Steelers program, which he sees as a critical pathway for introducing kids to basketball in a fun, supportive environment and growing participation across the club for seasons to come.
