Meet Bec Evans!

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve shone the spotlight on our President, Adrian, and Vice President, Scott — and now it’s time to meet the person who keeps everything (and everyone!) on track behind the scenes... our incredible Admin Manager Bec Evans!

Bec has been part of the Steelers family for eight years, with her kids growing up in the club and her own five-year stint as Admin Manager keeping things running like clockwork. Truth be told — her phone never stops buzzing with all things Steelers and somehow, she still does it all with a smile.

When asked why she gives so much of her time, Bec said it perfectly:

“I like being involved in the kids’ sport — they’re only kids for a short time (or want us around for a short time)!”

Bec is the go-to for everything — organised, caring, and always there to lend a hand. She’s incredibly family- and community-orientated, has a heart of gold, and still finds time for the gym, footy, cricket, and the occasional karaoke mic (her go-to song? Strong Enough by Cher ).

Game-day fuel: Skinny flat white & a protein bar

Favourite thing about the Steelers: “That real community feel — at any time at Mullum, you can watch someone you know play.”

Her hope for the club: “That we stay a community club but continue to grow and develop.”

Advice for young players: “Have fun and listen — that’s how you learn and grow.”

Bec, thank you for everything you do — for the hours, the heart, and the endless care you pour into the Steelers. You’re truly the glue that holds it all together.
